The ticket office will remain open until half an hour before closing time.
The weekly free day, usually on Monday, can exceptionally be moved.
The Museum will be closed these days: january 1, New Year day; january 6, Epiphany; april 28, Saint Prudence holiday; august 5, White Virgin holiday; december 25, Christmas day.

How to arrival
Artium Museoa is located at a 10 minutes walking distance from the tram stop; in addition, it is connected to the rest of the city by four bus lines (L3 Betoño-Zumaquera, L4 Lakua-Mariturri, L8 Universidad and L9 Gamarra-Zumaquera), with stops on Francia street (one step from the main entrance) and Los Herrán street (right behind the Museum).You can check the routes, as well as some additional information, on the website of the bus lines and on the site of the tram of Vitoria-Gasteiz. If you decide to come by car, remember that there is a public parking next to the Museum.

Visit
Artium Museoa always suggests experiences that are related to contemporary arts and cultures, mainly through its exhibition program and activities agenda.
It is also interesting that you know something about the museum's architecture; it's a museum whose main rooms are under ground level: a wine cellar museum. Discover more about the building and the works of art that arte permanently exhibited in it.
Guided visits are the best mediation tool to discover the museum and its exhibitions, as well as to get immersed inside the secrets of contemporary art. Artium Museoa offers the LORATEGItik program of free guided tours on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Check the program for this season in the activities section of the website.
Artium Museoa puts different mediation resources at your disposal (now online; you can get them via mobile devices and QR codes in the Museum): brochures, room sheets, exploration notebooks and activities agendas that can be acquired at the Museum’s ticket office. You will also find introductory videos in each room or in our Vimeo channel. In many occasions, you will see texts posted on the walls of the rooms, which will help you contextualize the differed sections of each exhibition.
The museum includes different spaces to take a break during your visit, especially if you come with young children. And when the weather is fine, an special and different place: the Artium Museoa Garden. You can ask the staff of the museum about the resting areas.
During your visit, please follow these advices
- In order to safeguard the artworks on display, they must not be touched.
- You can take photographs or videos, but you can not use flashes, spotlights or/and tripods. The photographs you take are only for personal use. You must remember that artworks are protected by intellectual property legislation.
- Partially sighted persons may enter the museum with their guide dogs. Other animals must remain outside.
- Young children are especially welcome in Artium Museoa. Remenber that they must remain under the supervision of an adult at all times. On many occasions, the museum provides areas with special activities for children. Please, inquire at the ticket office.
- Please do not take food or beverages into the exhibition galleries.
- For your own health and for that of others, and in accordance with current legislation, please do not smoke during your visit to Artium Museoa.
- Artium Museoa has a locker service so that you can deposit any objects you wish or those that cannot be taken into the exhibition rooms because of their size and/or characteristics. The dimensions of these lockers are as follows: 70 cm high x 40 cm deep x 27 cm wide; 32 cm high x 40 cm deep x 27 cm wide; 32 cm high x 40 cm deep x 54 cm wide.
- Artium Museoa requests your collaboration to enable you and others to enjoy your visit to the museum to the full: try not to disturb others during the visit and turn off your mobile phone before entering the exhibition galleries.
