Continuing with the temporal criterion that has guided the construction of this cycle, this year it is the turn of women filmmakers born in the late 70s and early 80s of the last century. Their reality is not the same as that of their predecessors, nor is their perception, their interests, their way of looking. There are things that distance these women directors from those who came before them, but there are also many things that unite them. The vindication of their own place serves as a link between them, and ends up forming an ecosystem in which they, in the end, play a fundamental role.

As in previous editions, each filmmaker is invited to present her film in public.

Between April and June, the Basque Film Library, in collaboration with the San Sebastian Festival, will invite you to revisit and discover twelve films to be screened in Vitoria, San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona and San Juan de Luz.

Following the successful cooperation with the Institut Lumière de Lyon, which resulted in the Lumière Sessions held over the last two years, the Filmoteca is once again looking at twelve titles, some of which are well known and others yet to be explored.
