Artium Museum presents pieces from different periods in her career together and series of works produced specifically for the project

The exhibition dedicated to June Crespo (Pamplona, 1982) puts pieces from different periods in her career together with series of works produced specifically for the project. Crespo utilizes sculpture with a language that sends us back to the body and its relationships with architecture. Holes, conductions, limits, circulation and more are some of the repeated terms often used to refer to her production. She makes sculptures and images, always insisting in the essay from precarious material, from the economy of the means and from the relevance of the making itself.

Crespo has been awarded with the Mª José Jové Foundation International Prize (2019), the Ojo Crítico Award from RNE (National Broadcasting) (2018), a fellowship from the Botín Foundation (2018) and the Gure Artea Prize to the outstanding creation (2013). Her works form part of the Reina Sofía and Artium museums’ collections, among others.

Among her most recent solo exhibitions we count No Osso at Certain Lack of Coherence Space in Porto (2019); Foreign Bodies, Galería P420, Bologna (2018); Ser dos at Galería Carreras Mugica in Bilbao (2017); Chance Album nº 1 at Galería etHALL in Barcelona (2016); and Kanala at MARCO in Vigo (2016).
