We would like our audience to enjoy meaningful experiences with contemporary culture by visiting Artium and participating in our programmes.

Artium designs activity programmes that are specifically aimed at helping people of all ages to enjoy our centre-museum.
Sharing experiences with your family, helping young persons access contemporary art according to their interests and allowing access to today’s culture for collectives that have difficulties doing so.

Social inclusion programmes
We are aware of the needs of our audiences. We design our inclusion projects collaboratively in order to adapt ourselves to the needs of our groups. We have come a long way since our inception by working collaboratively on inclusion programmes such as those undertaken with the Alava Psychiatric Hospital, Nanclares Penitentiary, the day-care centres of the Social Welfare Department of the Alava Provincial Council, COTA, UTE, Day Hospital for Addictions, among others.
If you would like to undertake an inclusion project please call 945 209 001.

Workshops for young people
On certain occasions, usually on a Saturday afternoon, the museum organises workshops for young people aged between 13 and 16 in collaboration with different artists. Participants experiment with various creative techniques and discuss about issues that affect and concern them in the workshops.
Self-managed project
A group of young persons aged between 16 and 18 meets twice a week at the museum. They have a space in which to meet and develop a project that is somehow related to contemporary culture and based on their initiative and interests as youngsters. This project is conducted in collaboration with Irse and Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. The group is continually open to incorporating new participants.

My Dear Visitor participatory project
Visiting a museum is a very personal experience. We would love to collect your experiences through the following activity and thereby share them with our visitors. My dear visitor, what would you tell another visitor about your experience today? Write a letter for us and we will hang it up on the wall for you.
Wonderwall
You activate a work of art by looking at it and observing is an act of creation. Wonderwall invites you to look at and reflect on three works from the Artium Collection. You can send your answers to educacion@artium.org. We will hang up your contribution on the wall of our Anteroom and in this way you can contribute to creating a large mural that contains a commitment, that which is established between the work and the different opinions (voices) interacting with it. We propose a space that adds meanings and interpretations to these works, a new expressiveness that the author perhaps did not intend or that the spectator never had the chance to articulate.
Our idea is for you to manipulate a photocopy of one of the works of the Wonderwall exhibition in the workshop area of the Anteroom and thereby transform it by using the technique of collage.
