X Encounter of Documentation Centres of Contemporary Art: ARCHIVES AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS MANAGEMENT IN HERITAGE CENTRES

These encounters commenced in 2002 and have since then been organised every two years in order to provide a framework for information professionals to share experiences, consider new management strategies, generate debate and encourage collaborative actions to help promote research and provide quality products and services that meet the needs of citizens.

On the occasion of the 10th Meeting of Contemporary Art Documentation Centres, organised at Artium Museoa in October 2020, this publication brings together the papers presented at the event.

The organisation and development of these 10th Meetings have been marked by COVID-19, both because of the uncertainty during the months of preparation for the event and throughout the course of the conference. Some of the presentations had to be made online and the participants were also offered the possibility to participate online.

This edition analysed the management of documentary heritage in specialised centres, and provided an opportunity to learn about the different digital projects being developed in museums, universities and documentation centres, facilitating collective learning and the exchange of experiences between professionals from these centres.
