The international festival of dance and movement DANZALAVA has been taken place in Álava since 2017. It is organized by Zuriñe Benavente and Ignacio Monterrubio (Altraste Danza), with the sponsorship of the Basque Government, the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, the Álava Provincial Council, the Vital Foundation and the INAEM, together with the collaboration of different associations and institutions in the province.

Throughout the year there are workshops, performances, public awareness shows and creation laboratories around composition in real time, improvisation and research in movement, with headquarters at Artium Museoa in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in Garaion Sorgingunea in Ozaeta (Álava) and in the Azala creation space in Lasierra (Álava).
